Susan Paino has been an innovator in children's dance and creative arts programs since 1984 and was the creator of Barefoot Arts, and the former director of the Moving Company and Creative Dance Theatre in Massachusetts.  A classically-trained ballet dancer, Susan has worked with people of all ages, teaching ballet, tap, jazz, and creative dance and is best known for her engaging and energetic style of teaching.  She has led programs at schools and libraries all over Massachusetts and continues to design unique classes and workshops, as well as to develop creative ways of teaching and presenting.

Born in Boston, and a Pawtucket, Rhode Island resident since 2010,
Susan is delighted to be dancing and creating with students and
families at schools and libraries in Southern New England.

In addition to arts education endeavors, Susan has worked as a costume designer, choreographer, and director and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  She enjoys sewing, bicycling, and writing stories and song lyrics in her free time, and is a member of the Boston Dance Alliance and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
