Kids Have Great Ideas

In my creative-movement classes, children often share ideas that prompt me to invent new games for the classroom.

During an open play time, a 4-year old child carefully placed hoops, props, and instruments in patterns all over the studio. She then told us that her new game was called, "Musical Instrument Hop Scotch." She demonstrated how you hop from place to place, playing the rhythm instruments and using the magic wands. What fun!
